THE FAIRY FOREST
Welcome to the Fairy Forest! What else would one do when faced with a small glen of trees.....
A couple of years ago, my daughter, my nieces and I decided to create a Fairy Forest. This is a journal of our journey to create a magical world for our own amusement!
I am so very fortunate to have a very talented and easily amused family. It wasn't long before the entire group was helping and coming up with ideas and contributions. After touring the latest installation one of my sons asked me what I would do when I finished the forest. My response was immediate, " Well, it will never be finished, after all we have acres to play with!"
So now I would like to invite you to follow along with us as we play in the Fairy Forest.

Finding a home for the Fairy Forest wasn't difficult. This small glen of trees was a perfect place.
Our first images for the forest. We painted on house siding with acrylic paint. The siding is made of cement board and was chosen because it wouldn't rot. It was surprisingly easy to paint on put took a lot of paint!

When we first installed the paintings we left the background grey. Later I decided that we should paint the background black to help them stand out more. So far we managed to do the dragon & the white rabbit. You can see what I mean when you compare them to the other 3.
Now that you've seen how we started let me take you on a tour of where we are now!
